Feeding red hook silver dollars. How can they eat so much?!

Probably doesn't help much now but when mine feed I find they somewhat "frenzy" when the food first goes in but calm down after a few strikes at the food. I add food a few pellets at a time until they stop their frenzy, and call it a meal. They get this 2-3 times a day and seem healthy, they eat nls thera+a and nls algae max.

My group iwas definitely being underfed at the shop. Now after a bit of time and putting on some thickness they seem to be less crazy come feeding time but still eat a ton of food. I have gone to 2 large water changes a week now to keep water quality good till I get the big tank setup.
