Hi everyone,
Most of us poly keepers feed our poly the best and healthy food from pellets, silevrsides, tilapia, and other more. Some believed that feeding live will be more beneficial so other start breeding their own live fish to feed to their polys.
If you do feed them different food each week what are your routine to them if you have any, do you feed 2x a day or once a day or every other day? Do you alternate from different food each time or do you give them the staple food for 3-4 times before switching their food?

As for me i give my polys tilapia as staple, pellets twice a week, catfish fillet once a week, and anchovies or smelt once a week or two.

What do you feed and whats your routine?

Tilapia, and a mix of pellets every other day normally. Past few months only 2x per week but gonna go back to the old routine.

Definitely wanna try the smelt

Mine get pellets, smelt, tilapia, and shrimp. The heavier stuff about 20% of their diet about 3 times per week. Shrimp and smelt are soaked with some vitachem.

No live food. The proof is in the pudding. They growing fine just fine with the food and clean water.

Ive been trying to soak the tilapia or anchovies in vitachem, but the polys dont like it, i even tried vitachem and garlic still no luck.

I have a needle and syringe and inject a tiny amount into the piece. It's a little thick but can be done. It creates a pocket. Some of the liquid gets squeezed out but gets in the polys bellies.

Good suggestion, where i work there is alot of syringe lolz, i try that tonight since im going to feed catfish fillet, thank for the info:)

My poly have recently changed feeding patterns quite significantly so I have tried to match their new thing.

Pretty much they are not eating pellets or anything else in the daytime anymore. Ever since the increase in tilapia with every other night feeding, the polys just dont have the same desire for day feeding. I do drop in Massivore every couple nights and it all gets eaten up so its not a dislike of pellets but a dislike of dayfeeding. If I switch to all day feeding I dont think the weeksii would ever eat.

So new routine pretty much is to feed nightly with tilapia every other night and then alternate on the other night will a small amount of silversides chopped up or some pellets. Really want to try smelt, herring or anchovies to add to their diet.
