Feeding schedule

I guess he was just waiting for his chance or sensed her weakness cause he doesn't bother the male. They offten hide together. But I have seen him move toward the female when she came in front of his rock cave.

well it sounds like the male is next unless you remove him or find a way to divide the tank. how long do you give it? a week? a month? if you are looking to feed your catfish there are cheaper ways to do it.

I doubt it even if it tried the male has too much girth for the catfish's mouth. He will be moved to my 15 hospital for now till he gets a new home.

Not for nothing but your making it seem like I intentionally feed my catfish the green terrors. Its a fish eat fish world. With big predators like that its bound to happen eventually.

If you don't house them together it won't. The catfish will not crawl out of its tank, go across the room and jump into the cichlids' tank and eat them.

I had no choice but to house em together till I get my new heater for my 40 b in the next day or two.
