Does anyone here feed their fish tadpoles? I have hundereds of them in my koi pond. They're toad tadpoles by the way, the little tiny black ones. Are they safe to feed to my cichlids?

i do every so often

yes, i would think it is okay. its pretty fun watching them slurp down a tadpole. hey, at least they arent as bad as goldfish

They eat them in the wild.

I make special trips to my bro's house to pick up a small gallon bucket and get a hundred or so my small JD's, GT, TX,and Front love them and they all flare up and colors go thru the roof!!! I've never had any problems aw/parasites or fungus i'm pretty sure they are in alot healthier conditions than the feeders you buy at the LFS. speaking of them i need to go this weekend and get some more!!:naughty:

Do any of you feed any other live food to your fish? I breed fathead minnows in my one pond and occasionally feed them to my fish. I also give my fish worms, crickets, grasshoppers and the occassional bug or spider I find in my house.
