4'x2'x2'-i have a small clown knife and a baby jardini and a full grown senegal. i have a hob filter meant for 120-150 gallons and it keeps the tank super clean, super clear, and super nice.

I've never kept jardini so can't tell you about how they are with bichir, but I can tell you that HOB alone is not enough filtration, especially when the fish you have are adults.

You need at least cannisters bro.

Hit up the polypterus forum with your setup, there are a lot of experienced and knowledgeable members here that are hardcore into bichirs.

I felt guilty having laps in my 120g, even when they were only 12", so personally I wouldn't. Why keep a 24" fish in a 24" wide tank, you know?

Stick to the smaller species, and up your filtration.

why wouldn't a HOB be enough? it keeps my 30G perfectly clean which is my grow out for the fish i listed. can't put the fish in the 125G yet, cause it's not cycled completely.

The main reason is because while it may keep your tank super clean/clear/nice right now, your fish are babies.

They will get get very big especially the knife and Jar, and when they do, the HOB won't be enough on a 4x2x2

i will keep that in mind when i start to see signs of too much pressure on the bioload.

Nice effort, good shooting

Nice video, very artistic.

Thank you, glad you dig it. Not all my YT uploads have this much effort in them, but I try to keep it interesting.

I saw it the other day though, so I at least have visitation rights :D
