Feeding the big cats

It looks like the fun was had by all, even perhaps more so by the feeder.



I was thinking while watching "That man must enjoy his blood be drawn..." expecting a lighting-fast shadow fly across the screen, an instant splash of water and blood spewing everywhere including on the camera lens...



? The orbs fell out of place??

Hmm, or maybe India, as we know it, is slowly drifting out into the Indian ocean... where, judging by the name, it belongs...

Lol, yeah it's always fun feeding them beasts, I am just a bit wary of the gator, have never properly hand fed em, can't judge how he would take his food, a smooth bite or a sudden strong side swipe.

I have fed the diplo by hand many times, a few times I got him to leap Outta the water to take food, and yes have been bitten once, pretty bad bite, pretty deep cuts from teeth of upper as well as lower jaw. Lemme see if I can find em Diplo leaping out for food videos.

Working on getting a new horticulture shade net to cover the pond from the side, that way I can reduce the amount of sunlight the pond is receiving.

Get some large tilapia, or a hi-fin shark on the algae asap

Last time I added something into the pond was a 31" Channa leucopunctata, it lasted exactly 15mins, the rtc was showing it the pond, all the while holding most of its tail in its mouth.

I remember the bite. Hence I said what I said...

This was the last hand feeding for the Diplo, he kinda caught my finger and the fish head, sank his teeth both sides of the finger, the bite strength was incredible, this I say because, one side it was direct contact, but the other side he was able to dig his teeth even through the operculum of the tilapia that I was holding
