Feeding the Eagles up close

Hi Liz,
For the last 2+ months I've been watching 10 different bald eagle cams. These cams are very addicting. Here are some of my favorite clips.

Meet the Hornby Family from Hornby Islalnd. Mom is the one with the shaggy hairdo. Dad is a neatness freak who is always cleaning and building up the nest. He's also an awesome provider.

The two little ones are Hope and Echo who hatched in late April. Little Echo sadly passed away in a tragic accident a few weeks after this video was taken.

Mom accidently steps on a little one. Dad arrives with a fish, panting hard from his work. Mom leaves, and Dad feeds the babies.

Dad arrives with a bunch of small fish. Mom begs for fish and makes it very clear there's not enough for everyone.

great little films...thanks so much pacu mom... i enjoyed them all..

hey look! the eagles together and it looks like hell froze over, but wheres don henley?

That could be slightly dangerous if they get greedy over a salmon fillet in your hands. The only way to get a good idea of how big and powerful eagles are is to see them up close and in person. That's a ton of eagles and a beautiful sight none the less! I agree about the driftwood too, but I think the birds like their perches.

Feeding the Eagles ~ Comox, Vancouver Island ~ January 2009
In January the weather was so cold that the bald eagles were cruising over our houses looking for helpless cats to make a quick meal. Some kind souls decided to feed the eagles down at Goose Spit so they would survive the cold spell. Here's what happened!
A former

teaching colleague took these photos in front of his home.
A beautiful morning feeding the eagles. Jan.2009

Awesome rare pictures. Most pictures or films always show them alone.

thanks everyone...glad you enjoyed them
