Feeding the Snooks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great set up Bill the fish look teriffic as well, hopefully the small guy/gal gets its act together. I love feeding my snooks as well I keep mine with a group of angels and they learned quickly to eat fast or starve lol I always add flakes so the angels are also satisfied. Great snooks require great water changes thats probably the biggest challenge with these future beasts. Your group should hit 9"+ by the end of the year.

Hungry little buggers.

Lol they're always hungry.

I didn't realize that you had two Sveni. My Lucius took to pellets right away. But he also loved to chase down live Ghost Shrimp with the Snooks.

I don't have two, I have a sveni and a cincta. The cincta eats pellets but the sveni is stubborn. He only gets to eat twice a week on his current regimen.

Hey Ira, thanks again! I love these fish. Regarding the small shy one, I don't know why he won't eat. I'm going to feed some krill tonite, maybe he'll come out and get some. I do a 75% water change weekly, hopefully that will be enough to keep them healthy and happy. 9" by the end of the will be great...10+ would be awesome.

cool video, balton!
did you get rid of the jag you had a long time ago?

The Snook were taking krill from my hand. The little loner I was telling you about wouldn't even eat krill, while the others went bananas over it. I fed some flake food today just to see what would happen and he ate three flakes...that was it.

dont beat yourself up over it bro, with a large group like that you'll always find a runt or bottom of the food chain;) i know your not gonna let him get killed but it is natural for the group to bump off the weak. just give him time and he'll come around.
