That is lucky. Mine is in a 50 gallon planted with a senegal and angels. He has adopted a long glass jar as his home and sits in it til feeding time. Soon as he sense food he's right out getting his fair share. How big is he now?

He is about 6-7 inches.. thats great..as long as yours comes out to eat..he has not been there that long so he will get better as time goes on.. i am just so glad this guy is so completly different then the others two we had.. as long as they eat i would be happy.. :D

Good to hear. Mine was in a tank full of large cichlids like JD's, midas, FH and others. He was hiding in a skull ornament that was only about 2/3 his length so he had to curl up in it. Almost didn't see him. That's why I'm glad he is adapting so well. Now if they all just survive vacation it will be all good.

thanks i dont know went to feed him this morning and i found him by the heater no nips or visible damage just SFD (sudden fish death)
the fire mouths are fine and parasite free but just to be safe i did a 50 percent wc :(

but im going to wait until the tank runs and stablizes and get a new pacu now nothing can ever replace a lost pet but i rather liked the pacu and would love to keep one succesfuly

Those severums are impressive. I'd pick some up myself but I hear they have a habit of munching plants :irked: .
