Feeding time front 125 1/21/12

I visited Dan at Cichlids of the Americas on my last fishing trip to Tampa. He had 2 beautiful big pairs (that he wouldn't sell me btw lol) that he said he was going to try to breed in a 2500 gallon tub. I wonder how that's going for him? Idk how the one I'm nursing back to health survived, but he/she is coming back slowly! My big ornatum is really tough. He's been in w/ some of my monsters and always holds his own. He used to fight my breeding pair of RTMs simultaneously and would never back down an inch.

Thanks Big G, I took some new pictures of my Pair 2. Check them out, that males marking look similiar to your male in your avatar. We should try a fry swap sometime. You should throw some pics up in the group, your fish look great! Where did you get that male from?

About 8 or 9inches, I think I got a pair and they doubled in size since I got them a couple months ago but they won't eat dried foods other than freeze dried krill.

I picked him up last april from a LFS near me. The owner is one of these lucky guys that collects his own wild caught. But my fish are not wild. But they were acquired through some of his connections.
