Thanks, but don't be deceived by the cuteness of the endli. Despite being only 3"+, he is the most aggressive of all my bichirs.
Once he even headbutt my 12" ornate and chase it away as the ornate was ontop of a pellet.

Thats an endli endli. Those things are external gills. You can find it in almost any juvenile bichirs.
I have personally seen ornates, delhezi and endli with those external gills. They loses them as they grow older though
