does anyone else do this? i have fed my frontosas and istlanum flakes made by ocean nutrition - Formula One.
i personally don't see any harm or even difference between MOST cichlid pellets and marine fish pellets... if anything i would think that marine fish get an even richer diet than their freshwater counterparts.
thoughts? <- this guy is eating marine popcorn... :grinno:

well nothing bad has happened... i mean if you look at the ingredients it's all pretty much the same. i'm just wondering if anyone else does stuff like this...

i know discus keepers use formula one for their fish and i've used it on all sorts of FW fish and it works fine. i can't say if it's better or not, but it's been pretty good so far

sounds alright to me, when you read the ingrediants list on most they're the same. i'd still prefer to not feed them marine food though :), i know that NLS claim that their ingredients in all their foods are almost identical but with the different percentages

I fed a full bottle of marine pellets to my mbuna once, simply because I had it. Everyone did fine. Lots of breeding. Not so much now, but I think that's because the tank is full now, and there's not many hiding spaces left over for babies at this point.
