i have a 6" jar with a pair of TSNs(4-5") in my 30g tank
the feeders are kind of barbs(look very similar to rosy barbs except for the color) i catch once a week from the nearby river they are nearly 1"+ in size.

how do you put feeder fish in the tank??
in groups of five to eight or two to three a day.
my jar kind of eats too much i think as it eats till it looks fat as a pig:jaw-dropp
and then i have to add a few more for the TSNs.

is he over eating ?
if yes how do i avoid it?

:iagree: Get them off the feeders...Especially if you aren't puting them in quarantine them before feeding. You have no idea what disease these guys are carrying... I have the same fish in my tank and they are very happy on pellets, krill, bloodworms and misc fish..

actually tried them and none of my fish thought they were good enough
as they spat it out and never again tried them again
though the aro likes fresh beef heart or liver once a while

i do quarantine the feeders before i start putting them with the aro

try starving your aro for a few days then try to feed it with pellets.if it still does'nt eat the pellets, starve it a few more days!eventually the aro will eat the pellets :)

actually i was asking
IS my aro over feeding???
if yes can any thing be done about it?

Don't put feeders in the tank with the jardini

then how do i make sure my TSNs are eating their share

You need to get them off of the feeders to fix this problem. The feeders, are one nutritionally void, unless you are feeding them a good diet. Two, they will present many problems with parasites. There is no need to have them on feeders. Hikari cichlid gold pellets work well for aros.
