Feelin salty...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not sure if all species do, but better safe than sorry.

I know...been wanting one since I was a kid. I know this tank will hold one for a few years...maybe not for life though
Maybe not for life. Depends on where you fall in tank size vs fish size opinions.
I’ve read/heard they get 18 to 20 inches.
I’m assuming that would take some time.
I believe the tank you’re planning will work fine for a clown trigger.

We're close...been filled and cycling over a week now. My new addition missed his flight last weekend, supposed to get here friday. The front of the stand is coming together slowly but surely.

My starfish population has expanded rapidly. The asterinia now pepper my rock, appear to be voraciously feeding on the algae. Ive always liked harlequin shrimp, plan to introduce some once the starfish start to overwhelm me. I haven't done a water change on this tank yet, deliberate as I want to accelerate the algae growth. I throw a whole bottle of copepods in this tank once a week and the bicolor goes nuts over them.

With some tweaking from default settings, the current usa leds are doing an admirable job cultivating algae at the lower levels, 20-24 inches depth. This also means algae scraping every day, but I'm having a lot of fun with this tank.

I hope to put the new 75 gallon tank together this weekend which will replace this tank. More to follow. Thanks for reading y'all.

It's been hell trying to get supplies for my builds. The search continues for a decent glass supplier...they don't seem to care much about small orders like I'm making. Not looking forward to phone battling for a refund on these.

I had heard good things about fijicube, but they would not replace this defective skimmer box, first blamed it on the shipping company, then pretty much blamed me for breaking it, even though its obvious it was damaged when machining. It will still function fine but all I can see is that crack.

I am excited about this awesome heavy duty 4" bulkhead, which I plan to incorporate into one of the new tank designs...for now I'll let you all guess as to how.

Dug this brand spankin new 50g acrylic out of storage which will serve as a custom sump for the new 36x30 shallow tank. The big tank behind is ready for my newcomer who is due in friday...hopefully.

Things are all good in the 120. It actually appears as if my nitrates went down or at least held steady this past week without performing a water change. Must mean my algae is doing its job. Is this normal with a lightly stocked marine tank?

Anywho, the 120 will get a full rebuild with a proper glass eurobrace once I'm done with the other tanks. This has been a pretty sweet setup so far and I dont intend to scrap it like so many of the other tanks that come to my chopsh--er...workshop.

Thanks for reading all.
