My three are too busy dodging cruising SDs and tin foils to do much fighting...

Cleaning my rockwork and driftwood though...

How do you transition them to pellets and veggies...do they eat zucchini?

Clip it to the glass using a suction cup or rubberband it to a rock. Mine took to it pretty quickly when i fed my pleco. Most flagtails i've seen grazing on the glass. i'd start by clipping it to the glass first.

How big are yours currently?

Great, that is what I do for my loaches anyway :)

Amazing how those little buggers LOVE veggies.

I miss the days of my clown troop munching away on zuchini with my L200 and flag tail.

Velvet got them all. :(

Only the L200 survived. Tough pleco!

4"-5" in an eight foot tank...In contrast, the tinfoils are pushing 7" and SDs are 6".

We shall see...

Mine didnt get aggressive until they hit 7"+. Then they started with the smallest, harassing it until it quit eating. It doesn't look violent at all. Actually its almost cute the way they fight, however it will result in dead fish. I will never have more than 1 in a tank again.

I wonder if they will do the same with other very similar shoaling fish around like tin foils...

As long as they are not one fight instant kill type like the big cichlids have, I will have time to "get rid of" the excess if that happens.

Got mine at 3", 7 mths ago and was very shy and wouldn't eat for weeks. He has now doubled in size and eats non-stop. Hands down best fish I've had when it comes to maid service.
