You pacu was lucky. If that had stuck anywhere inside it would have been the end of him!

That is why I'm not too happy with the "wait and see" method. Once an object passes the stomach, there is only one option left.
I was lucky too that i did not have to go through the torment.. i did not know he ate it until i saw it in the end..
I hope what ever happens it is a success because he is so beautiful ..i wish you the best.

Poor Felix! :( He has grown so much. I had so much fun watching him on the cam, he is a cutey! That first pic cracks me up. He has that look that he knows he did something not so good. hehehe

hey.... any updates?
how was FELIX now ? He still fine?
jst worried. :-(

Thanks for asking. He seems fine, eating and very swimmy. The 'bump' is still there - hasn't moved. Still waiting, I guess.

He really is a great guy - we were looking at big indoor ponds the other day - hoping he'll hang on ...

RTC's can and DO eat anything and everything. From what I have read their digestive system is designed to handle this sort of thing without problems. I know Lucy eats rocks and gravel from time to time with no effect.

:nilly:

I'm SO happy! Felix coughed up that Fluval suction cup tonight! RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME - I saw the whole thing! It started like he was just yawning ... then a couple 'cough cough' and out it came! Well, I'm glad I waited I guess ... a lesson for ALL RTC owners! TAKE EVERYTHING, E V E R Y T H I N G out of the tank they can possibly put in their mouth! The only thing left is a large air stone, the single pipe for the filter and the large output - two rocks that are bigger than him! No gravel either. And certainly no suction cups!

No worries then He'll be fine, and those rocks that are bigger than him may someday be small enough to fit in his mouth but sounds fine for now!

nice, glad to hear that...!!!
