Pat - got your voicemail yesterday. Sorry I missed the call.
I'm in for mid Jan if you'd like. I'm hoping that other aspect might be there at that point as well to document these next steps
Day 3...
It started out not so well. Cameron's car died again. After a quick tow we got on our way. Note to self, need to demand a raise from Pat. Cameron needs a new car.
Plumbing under the tank once again proved to be harder than it should be, but we got all of the pipe connected and used pipe strap to support all of the plumbing.
After finishing all of the plumbing under the tank, we closed the valve on the line that feeds the filter, and let the water flow.... Pat was walking about a foot off the ground at this point seeing this tank that he has been working on for about 3 years finally start getting filled.
After about 30 minutes of filling Murphys law struck. The waterflow stopped because his water softner malfunctioned. So we finished plumbing the filter (when I say we I actually mean Ron) and called it a day.
Tomorrow we'll bypass the softner, finishing filling this big boy, fire up the pump / filter, and let it go for a week long test run. If all goes well, we'll start putting in the decor the next time, which is where we'll be desperately seeking more volunteers...
Here's some pics of the day. More pics of day 3 to come...
