love this thread. if one of you can put me up for a couple days i will drive down from ct to help with whaever you need.
So let me get this straight, this coming Valentine's weekend you are planning on some river rock moving? If so I know I have Sunday morning through till 2-ish to help out... I'd like to get the opportunity to meet some fellow MFKs. PM me I guess....
I don't think there is enough forgiveness in the world for spending the day working on a fish tank on Valentines day.

I recently got back from wrapping up some loose ends in the tank. The tank had to be drained so we could replace a leaking fitting under it. I had tried to patch the leak with epoxy, but it was a bigger leak than the epoxy could seal.
To get the replacement parts in, I had to use flex pipe and some ingenuity (I define ingenuity as carefully chosen swear words and a really big pry bar). Anyway, the new parts look different than the old stuff but it does the job the same.
And we were able to get the fill water going (no leaks this time). The new mechanical filter keeps the water really clear.
