Female betta building a nest?.

My female betta has been building bubble nests for a while....Do they do that or is she really a short finned he?.

I have read that females will sometimes build a nest, although I have never witnessed it myself.

Do you have a pic? It could be a short finned male, but females have also been known to build bubble nests on occassion.

I can't tell, that picture is extremely dark and even after lightening it it was really blurry.

whether it is male or female they do build bubble nests alone. My male does it all the time when he's not chasing the cherry barbs lol. They are bubble nesters so don't worry

I'm a bit puzzled that my post has been moved into breeding. My betta cannot breed unless asexual reproduction starts because I only have one betta.
