well im almost positive she has laid eggs unless she has found the weight loss system every woman desires, dropping her rather large belly in a matter of an hour. she is no longer round and plump.

i will check today when i do a water change to make sure she didnt just have a big blow out.

Since jewels are from Africa are they mouthbrooders?

Nope, jewels are typical open substrate breeders much like most central americans. They are from west africa, not the rift lakes. While west africa does have some mouthbrooders, it also has the open spawners (jewels) and cave spawners (krib family).
