Female Dovii

Whoops, new to posting pics but theres a couple more of the pair lol. I was trying to see a preview before I posted and didn't realize they were all attaching in the same post.
The female is about 6-7 inches and the male is around 13-14 inches. I got the female around 1 inch hoping it would be a male. It was the first I had ever seen at my local fish store. Once I realized she was a female I decided to try and find a decently sized male to pair her with. The guy at the store found me one very quickly as a special order for only $39. The only catch is that it was missing an eye (he assured me that it was an old wound that was healed), and I had to agree to buy it sight unseen before they would order it as they had no room to house it. He told me it was 9 inches which I figured would fine even if it was a little under that size. What i didn't realize was that it was actually listed as 9+. So I went ahead and took a gamble. It showed up as a 12+ inch monster lol. Had about double the mass of what I was expecting to arrive, but he is gorgeous and actually quite timid compared to what I was expecting. I'm very glad I did it now. They are in a 6 foot tank for now. They spawn every 6-8 weeks. Got a couple dozen growouts at around the 2.5 to 3.5 inch range. And another dozen or so still in the tank with them about 1 inch. I've been leaving them in with the parents otherwise I'd be completely overrun with dovii. They have hundreds of fry at a time.
