hey guys, just thinking about whether 2 female festaes would/could get along in, say, a 90.:D heh, please don't flip out, it's just that nobody has anything to say about it anywhere else.

(oh ya, if it won't work in a 90, what size tank would it work in?)

well you could try it, i really haven't seen two females together before, so i couldn't tell you about the aggresion levels, but if you do decide to go through with this, i would recommend a larger tank, 125+, or most tanks in a six foot length.

what about a female festae and a male red devil? i've heard of them pairing up, but what size tank would that need?
125+, that is just assuming you could get them to pair up

not where I'm supposed to be
I did it (F Fesate w/ M Texas)in a 29g with no harm. they produced about 100 fry which survived katrina(they ate ea other of corse). Just put a divider and once you see rubbing instead of attacking, take it out and hopefully they mate and not kill...

to keep 2 females, def a 6ft long tank and hopefully they stay on oposite sides or you have something to break the aggression.
