Hi, I wanted to post a photo of my female flowerhorns progress.

I was wondering if she will stay in her breeding colors as long as a male is in the tank? I think she looks cool

The first pic is when I just brought her home...
The next two were taken today

She has the male parrot in there....I tried to remove him, but she wasn't happy. They layed once and he is sterile...so I guess they will just live happily ever after by themselves.

Dude, how is your Fh staying still enough for you to photo it?Mine is like a bumble-bee when he sees me!!!All over the place.......I can't get him i'd'd cause of it:( Well here he is

I think she is a camera ham....She comes right up to theglass and when she sees the camera, she poses.

My other two are just like yours, most of their pictures look like blurs, lol

If she gets aggressive with him, I will take him out. They are in the living room tank, so they are monitored pretty well.

Right now he is the tank master, she bows to him, but she is still so young.

She does have a mean streak, I saw her just let loose on my tex/FH who is a little bit larger...it was a ferocious battle. Thankfully both escaped with minimal damage and are now living rooms apart

She will probably end up killing him over that. I had the same thing go down not to long ago:D maybe not though you can never tell

I am sorry bout that, it stinks to lose a fish.

Question for you....how do you introduce a male FH into a tank where a female has been living alone? Do you automatically use a divider, or see how it goes first?
(this is for future reference)
