Everything that you’ve told and based on pictures, points towards male. But only way to be 100% is the vent. But 3 inches is too small. But flowerhorns grow fairly quickly, so you’ll find out soon...ish.
I’d learn towards male. I’d assume your going to keep him/her either way so why not just wait and see. Give it a month or two of growth and you will know for sure.
