nah what u need is a laser mouse i love mine ....no lag it rocks .....

optical are ok....the wireless optical is pretty poor for gaming,...you can be in athe middle of a mission and all of a sudden your mouse will go crazy on you because theres a crumb on your mouse mat lol

Laser is essentially the same as optical, and laser is indeed better.

My MX1000 is over 3 years old now and it's still going good.

Those ball mouses have such inaccuracy when playing detailed shooters.
I remember back, I was playing Soldier Of Fortune with one of those and I was just about to kill this bloke, but the ball moved just as I shot and my cursor was placed over an innocent.

Works fine for me on Battlefield 2.
Most of the time I'm using a logitech joystick though, flying helicopters is alot more easy with a joystick.
