I have a pair that I breed, the female's dorsal fin is noticeably shorter than the male and the female has brighter red gills than males. By the pic the dorsal looks shorter than a male, but how big i this fish might also be just young.
She's about 8" long. I heard that you can tell them apart by noting that the female has no dark spots below the lateral line. Again, I'm up for suggestions and/comments. Thanks all for posotive comments - had this gal for a while now.
