Looks too small to be sexed. Just by looking structure of the mouth, I'm estimating that jag is under 3". My male had vertical barring like that prior to hitting 5", and slowly lost it when it started to dominate the other fish.

Check these two pics of my male....when he had the bars he was tending fry....l had always thought he was a male from day one...however i had seen what looked to me like more masculine looking ones and i occasionally had doubts...of course all doubts removed when he became a "dad "...look for pointed triangular genital papilla for males and blunt and rounded for female....as others said it may be too young right now to tell...but just for future referance...

The jag is around 4" and Ill have to get my cousin to vent her now...
Ive personally never seen this much gold on a young jag. And it was not stressed at all, eats like a pig!
