I have 2x female and 2x male Motoro in a 200gall, a lil small, but it goes well, i change 40-50%+ Water 2 times a week. Now 1 of my Males has bin mature, so he has bin on one of the motoro females, and has bitten her on the disk. How long will it take for these wounds to heal? She has had it for almost 2 weeks i think, she eats well and dont seem to mind about it. Its greyish around the wound. Its a white wound, but i cant see and fug on it. Should i add salt? how much pr\l in that case?

Had to post a pic of one of the male motoros aswell, he has so very nice spots! and ALOT of it :)

well that is common for the male mature to bite a female. they do it when they are breeding. so, who knows, might have pups on the way.
adding some salt is ok. just add about half what you usually will and a week or so later, maybe a a little more. but watch it, dont add to much to it. salt will help her heal, but use salt only. my opinion, and its only mine so Im sure Ill get crap for it, other meds dont work well. Some rays are sensitive to meds and not worth taking the chance. If you want, seperate her for awhile. If she is preg, might want to do it anyway when you know for shure she is. and esp after she gives birth cause the male will jump on her again trying to breed again rt after she gives birth and she needs time to rest.
just watch her. if she is eating, doing her normal thing, I wouldnt worry to much. like I said its normal for the male to bite the female, esp during breeding if thats whats going on.
Hope that helps.

She is only around 9" so i dont think she is ready for him yet. Have had them for 10 months, WC from peru. Il add salt if it develops to something nastyer. But how long do they roughly use to heal?

ya, just let it be.. the salt will help. but dont add to much, esp without doing a water change also. remember, add salt , do water change first..
but it will heal. dont worry. if its not bleeding out, she will be fine.
She may not be ready, but he might be..lol

Just like here home ;) Il just let it be then, was just wondering when i should expect it to be gone, that i know that at a point i might should do something.

It might never be gone. Once a male is mature and wants to mate, hes going to be bothering the female until shes ready to let him. As long as it doesnt get too bad, I wouldnt worry about it. If he really does start tearing her up, then you would need to seperate the male and then treat the female accordingly.

ok. It has juts bin this one time, he also took a lil bite of the disk on a another male at the same time, but that seem to heal perfectley, can nearly see it. he hsa reaaaaally big balls now :p am almost jealous ;)

Soo.. The wound dont seem to heal, and it has gotten a littlebit larger. Its white, so its not very deep.. And its very greyish around, it botters me. Should i do something about the water now? thinking of salt? All parameters are good and i often change alot of water.
