Lol, another growth spurts about to happen. He does not really eat a lot but for the past two weeks, he's been eating market shrimp like there's not tomorrow and atleast 15 large hikari cichlid pellets in one feeding.
What are you guys basing your opinion on-just curious since I have had many Dovii and my opinion differs from everyone else-how many of you have actually had or have Dovii-maybe I'm going blind but please help and give me facts on why you guys say female.

Actually the male is the youngest of the two. There about 5 1/2 inches and this is there third spawn and working on there fourth. They are by far my most aggressive cichlids. I tryed puttting my Vieja pair in with them and the two of them tore my male Vieja up in a matter of minutes. I now have them housed with my Jag pair W/Divider after the smoke cleared. That fight was at least fair as my Jags are about two inches bigger but the Dovii M/F still tore them a new one. Pretty nice female you have there by the way. As soon as she gets settled she will display more of the stronger traits female posses imo... at least. I knew my male was a male from the jump because of all the little spots all over him the females have a few spots if any at all.
