Hey everyone, I bought this starry night cichlid almost a year ago and its been in my 75g, she's currently 5 or 6 inches big and has the jet black feature, but her spots just dont seem to be developing. I say she because I think its a female and that might be part of the reason she isnt popping. Instead the pattern is like a blurry salt and pepper and I'm not sure shes ever going to color up. Healthy well tempered fish otherwise. Thoughts?

No shes not, only thing I can think of is she scraped herself on some rocks in the tank but i havent noticed it happen
