Female thats holding

that's what happened when I used to have breeding Cyprichromis leptosoma's. If I tried to move the female then she would spit the fry out, which was actually what I wanted so it worked out very well. :)
 
how long will shr hold them, i have one whos been holding them for about 4 weeks, she was in my main tank but i moved her to my small tank about 2 weeks ago, she spit out 1 egg and the fry hatched but still had the embro still attached but the fry was trying to swim away but the mother scooped her up, now when i drop some food into the tank i can see the fry in her mouth, shes got about 10 ish and they all look hatched but she wont let them out, the only thing in the tank is a small plant and a terracotta flower pot, do you think she wont spit them out because there isnt much for the fry to hid in? also when she spits them out will she eat the fry? when do i put her back into the main tank?
 
she is still eating but not as much and she eats very slowly, i think shes scooping up the food for the fry to eat. how would i go about removing the fry from her mouth like keeping her mouth open what do i use that wont hurt the mother, is it natural for the mother to hold them for this long?
 
well i just let nature take its course and sure nuff the fry was safe looks like she has about 15ish fry, I am going to keep her in the tank with the babys till they are too big to fit in her mouth and she is healthy enough to fight back with my other chiclids sorry i did not take any ones advise on this one but if they do it in nature and the survive it is just as good in my tank, also she it the mother her job is to mother the new fry, not hurt them, well thats what is supposed to happen
