Question? I'm noticing about 3 white eggs, and they are refusing to remove them again. Should I attempt to remove them myself?

Another bad run. They ate all the eggs again yesterday after half of them turned white. They don't seem to know that they are supposed to remove the unfertilized eggs, and they end up getting fungus and spreading to the others. Better luck next time eh. Hopefully they will get it right soon.

The fourth time always seemed to be my charm with young pairs ... hopefully that will be your case as well.

If you pull the eggs from the parents, I would remove the fungused eggs. But if kept with the parents, leave them be (though adding meth blue might not be a bad idea). Trying to pick them out might upset the parents and end up having all of them eaten. Besides, they do have to learn that white=bad.

Bummer, I was hopeing to see some fry! I had a pair (if you want to call it that) of Discus that never learned they weren't laying food. I hope you have better luck. Really nice looking fish though!

Thanks guys. I'm sure I will get another spawn soon. I guess I will just let them keep trying till they get it right. I will try the maricyn next time as well.
