Thank you and so do I:)

Just a question.....What do you feed your festaes ?

I feed these guys alot of variety. i bought a bunch of food from Kens fish and feed krill pellets, large growth formula, color pellets, NLS, Massivore, sprulina pellets. and i also feed market shrimp, frozen talapia, and frozen blood worms a couple times a week:) i feed twice a day and i only give a couple dif types a pellets each feeding and sometimes they only get fed once a day cause i get busy with work and stuff and dont like feeding after 7pm

our fish are half brothers/ and sisters... lol

I feed mine NLS, Massivore/Carnivore, Bio-Gold, Bloodworms, Mysis Shrimp, Spirulina Flake, Kelp Pellet. It says a lot online and a study made by scientists of wild specimens proved (ugh hate the details on this one) that wild Festae have higher average plant matter in diet than other large aggressive omnivore cichlids and it is in their opinion that Festae is a true omnivore and benefits from plant mater more than say a Red Devil(etc). Meat should be primary but a more extensive plant supplement is good fro them. Not more plant than meat, just more plant than usual.
