By 5 inches I would imagine the vent tube (egg tube) would be visable. The lack of vertical bars and the vertical black stripe on the dorsal fin also indicates female. If you look closely at the profile of the "forehead" you can see there is a slight hump beginning to show. Female's have a very flat, sloped, almost beak-like profile. If all else fails, time will ultimately tell.

well the egg tube would only be visible if she was preparing to breed, that is the only time the egg tube is dropped. Also females sometimes will develop a hump too. Also, the colors can be on and off, one moment a female could have no color then the next she bars up and so on and so fourth. I have been doing some serious indulging in festae for the past couple of months and I certainly say male and female.
