Could a pair of festae be kept in a 75g with many hiding spots? I absolutely am in love with these fish as they are my dream!

i don't have one but i'm going to say no. how many hiding spots do you think you can have for a 12 to 16" fish.
maybe one as a wet pet

Not many get to 16", in fact I haven't seen any that size yet. More closer to 12-14" either way it depends on how well the pair is bonded. They do grow slow so actually a 75 will work for a couple years maybe longer. I know of a few people who have done it with a 75 and in fact I've had most of my success breeding festae in 4' tanks. I do feel better giving them larger tanks in the long run tho.

Yes, Festae grow very slow, so it would probably work for a long time (assuming the pair gets along alright), but the male will outgrow that tank in the long run.

They will prob. be fine in a 75 for at least a few years. They are slow... slow... slow growers... got mine in May at 1" and they're still in the 3" range. The smallest ones which I assume are females are around 1.5" and 2".

IMO, no. This might not be the most popular opinion, but I don't think a 125 is even big enough. I like to keep a fish in a tank (very rough guide) that is around 5-6x the length and 2x the width of the fish's length. So a fish that's 15" should be in approximately a 72x30" footprint at least (if you've got the money go 96x30"). I'd say at the very least a 180 gallon for an adult pair.
