Festae Journal: Growing out a group of young festae

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Exciting times :) Rojo (my male festae) eat from my hand (small strips of tilapia) for the first time the other night and I finally got some decent pictures of him.

I don't know nothing about photography but I decided to try taking some pictures of him with the tank light off and the room light on. I got my note 3 right up to the glass and was able to get the best pictures of him to date. Not sure why these lighting conditions worked but I am happy to have something to share with mfk.

I am going g to try and get some with the light on this week and hopefully I can show him off a little better. I found my larger gt to be much easy to capture.

so here he is:

When taking pictures it's best "in my opinion" to turn tank lights on, camera flash off, and get it as dark in the room as possible. Also make sure both sides of the tank glass/acrylic are clean.
I do most of my pictures at night to make this a lot easier.

He looks great!
I also second what Jexnell Jexnell said.

Great looking little fellow, the pics are turning out sharp as egg farts in an elevator, good job.

Festae one of my favorite fish, one day I'll have a big enough tank for a pair. Till then I will live vicariously through yours.
