The main fish is a female. The second one - could go either way. I'm leaning towards female.

I agree, bars have nothing to do with it. A dark area in the dorsal fin, now that usually indicates female.

Good to know. I just got 6 juveniles hoping to grow out a singe nice fish with the black bars. I thought it had to be female good to know either can have the bars.

Please don't choose a fish based on the bars. Those can disappear overnight, all depending on the fish's mood, surroundings, etc.
