Festae: Male or Female

Im gonna have to guess female. Beautiful too! The black front half of the dorsal usually (not 100% accurate) points to it being a female.
Now, I have been told by a couple of very knowledgeable festae keepers that this is a male...these guys are very tricky to sex...and I don't know how to vent check...VRWC;3543091;3543091 said:
I am no expert at sexing RT's but when I tried sexing mine, one of the biggest aspect that was told to me which indicated female was the lack of spangling on the front half of the dorsal. Judging by the picture, it looks to have spangling all across the dorsal therefore my guess is male. kinda hard telling in the pic but does he/she have spangling all across the dorsal? Beautiful fish nonetheless!

#1 That is a mighty colorful 2 incher and looks a few inches bigger
#2 its not uncommon for a 2-3 inch female to retain its spangling at that size.
