  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that is 100 percent female. females can also have the spangling most of the time it dissapears but sometimes it doesnt. do you see how black the dorsal fin is. males do not get that.

the males can have what i call a fake black dorsal and thats when the black verticle bars pertrude up in the dorsal giving it a somewhat black look but his pic looks like a solid black dorsal

I believe its a male. That black black dorsal fin isn't always right. My male has a solid black dorsal. Thought it was female for a long time. Bought two other male festae and he killed them. Still thought it was a female till one day it paired off with a female dovii. Mine has the black dorsal of a female but never got the nice red they get. Once he got about 8" he start to show more male traits. Sometimes you have to wait till they are big to sex them.

im goin to say male because of the blue dots through the fins, i dont think the black in the dorsal fin is very accurate way of telling

Definitely male. lot of spots in the tail

Here's a few pix of my 6" cross dressing male. He's not as intensely colored as other cross dressers but he's trying lol.
