festae or mayan to soon to tell?

Just picked this guy up, my first!!! Stoked. Pretty sure it's festae? Only about 1 1/2 in but showing good color for this size I think. Not an expert on these guys so if so one call tell me which one it is and even if it's male or female if it not to young to tell. Thanks !!

I'm gonna definitely say festae, Mayan cichlids don't get pearling fins like that. Looks like it will grow to be a nice fish one day congrats on the pick up

Thanks all! I would be quite happy with a male! Question on their colors... first are they temperamentall with the their colors based on their mood and stress levels like a rivulatus? Secondly I know the females put on beautiful breeding dress, but as far as the males and all the wonderfull pics I've seen of them, is this their usual dress?

My juvy male lost the dark lateral bar and his mouth and fins have turned quite red. He is about 4.5"
