i have a feeling the third one is also male then. They are all about 2.5-3". But at least i know that the supplier labeled them correctly, ill just have to order more from him and hope i get some more females.
Not so sure you're accurate on the 4" sexing size. Here's mine at 2"-2.5". I ordered 6 from J Rapps (3male/3female) and I could clearly tell them apart.
Sometimes they don't show their physical differences until 4" or so. So wait until they hit 4 inches then you can be sure. Shoot, I thought that I had a male until a black blotch appeared on her at 6". That was pretty late, lol.
yeah they can show earlier some of mine have but one I thought was a male all the way until 4" then it started to color up slightly. It is not the typical colors of a female but the black is now showing on it's dorsal.
nah I now have 4 males and 3 females I was actually relieved but it was just crazy how long it took for her to color up. I thought for a few months she was male. After both of my other females had already colored up
I had thought I had received all females for quite a while. The dominant fish while they were growing out was a female. I moved her to another tank and bingo, the next largest fish turned out to be male
