I had a post earlker about what to keep in my 125 with a male jd. But got to thinking i could put him in a 75. Was thinking about getting a couple festae or perhaps a couple of the smaller peacocks for the 125. Are one easier to keep than the other. Any advice. Thanks

Festae cause to my knowledge all peacock bass would eventually outgrow a 125. I have a 125 and could imagine putting peacock bass in there. Only thing with festae is potential aggression towards other tank mates

Festae would be okay the peacock would only be happy in a 125 for a little while.

+1, I can't talk really because I have an Orino in a 70, upgrading in the spring to at least 180-300 depending on final budget. If you do go w/ the pbass just be sure you have plans to upgrade (I sort of assume everyone wants a bigger tank like I always have) pretty soon. If you get really small guys, like 1.5-2 inch, based on my Orinos growth rate and my buddys pbass I'd like to say... a 120 would last about 4-6 months

a 125 would last a peacock bass quite a while. 4-6 months wouldnt even give you an 8" fish from the size you are describing. lets not exaggerate.

If you where close I could hook you up with some Festae. LOL.

They are quick fish and need room, depending on the dimens of the 125 it could only be 4-6 months. Or at least that's how long I would keep one and still feel good about it being in there. There's a difference between surviving and thriving

I have several blue jacks and just started getting into breeding and now without time to take are of so many tanks i think id rather keep just a couple large tanks with some nice fish. No intentions to breeding. Festae may be my pick.
