I think you need to look again. With all that spangling and green, it's pretty clear that the male is a male.

No it doesn't. Mayans have spots on the tail that are more centered. The male has a raised/upper spot on the tail. You need to do some research on properly identifying festae and urophthalmus. Both fish are clearly festae.
