The fish is still acclimating to the tank, some fish it takes weeks. I would leave the log in there so he has a comfortable "safe" spot. As for feedings he should open up in time, try at night time. Also try some frozen bloodworms, it is fish crack lol.[/QUOTE]

ok so he has been in the tank now for 1 week and 1 day, and he does leave the log but does not go far. he leaves the log to chase away the other fish from it...or to swim thru the plants, the only reason i am still worried is because i STILL havent seen him eat ANYthing...how long can fish go without eating? the other fish do not mess with him anymore, they might do a little face off but the festae usually is NOT the one who backs down, what do i do here? he has to eat! i mean sheesh

I have heard that Seachem Garlic Guard works good as an appetite enhancer, try adding a couple drops to his food.
