Good luck finding them. They are always at the last place you look. Because after that you've found them. lol. Sorry, i had to do it. Anyhow I found mine by chance and when I wasnt looking for it.

I was looking into getting a festae. But here lies my question. I was checking cichlid forum about these guys. It seems that its only females that have the most color and males are kind of blandish in color. Is this true? And if you have festae pics please show em and label them accordingly please

Males are by no means bland in color, they're just different. Females are red with black stripes whereas males are golden or greenish with red fins and spangles all over.

I think both sexes are beautiful. I think they are even more beautiful when they are kept as a breeding pair, which has its own challenges. Fetsae are gorgeous cichlids.
