Africans have different food and water requirements and for that reason alone it's inadvisable. Africans require hard water while ca/sa cichlids require softer. You COULD still mix them but I'm not sure how great it would be for either fish.

At the moment they are mixed in my tank. Pbass, Pike, Salvani, two Dats, two baby Jags, and a Polleni. Was thinking of possibly a red festae to add to the collection.

I wouldn't but that's only because of the already good sized bioload on the system. What size tank? Temperament wise a festae could be okay as long as it's big enough.
