Festae Tank/Red Trerror

I was wondering if i could put 2 Festae's and a Green Texas in a 75Gallon Tank and 1 Day when they get around 6in Removeing the Texas. Please Help me in this proublem.

What about replacing the Festae's with Green Terrors would that work or if i put something like a convict in there to distract them

convicts are aggressive, texas are aggressive, green terrors are SLOW growers and IME very passive.

I would say that green terrors would be good with like oscars and maybe jags if you have a big enough tank.

But texas and red terrors and convicts are much more aggressive.


I say no matter what you do make either a ton of territories or no territories. But honestly nobody can give you a definite answer on this as all cichlids are different. I have a very passive cichlid tank with a jag oscar, sevs, and snook. But I have had fish that are supposed to be passive (like nicaraguense) and they would fight my more aggressive fish like my old texas and my convicts. Its really hit and miss. I say have some egg crate diffuser ready to make a divider in case you need to seperate them or something.

I think a texas is right up there with a red devil as far as aggression goes.

red terrors grow really slow. i would think that just about any other cichlid would outgrow them and beat em up.

what size of are the fish u plan on getting , i think it can work for a little while aslong as u plan on upgrading

i plan on getting them 1-3in and when the texas gets larger he will move to a diff tank.
