Festae update 2013

F1 Ecuador Pair "Highlighter & Ruby"
I got this female some time ago at 5.5" and my male was 6"
All of a sudden after some spawns she EXPLODED! She pretty much eats ALL the food and he is just worried about breeding!lmao
Female 9" (very thick)
Male 8"

Really nice fish man. How big where they when they first spawned ? How big do festae have to be to spawn ?

Wow they are looking awesome! Im glad to see they are still doing well.Highlighter and Chili got into a while ago and I was to late to save her smh. She was maturing really well! You have the last bloodline of chili(f0 Rio tumbes).

I had my male Highlighter since he was a 1" and he stared spawning at 4.5" I think. The female was around 3.5" I personally feel that it depends on the maturity of the fish and not necessarily the size..
