Still going to be updating this thread with content . Updated Festae grow outs from 2017. Just sold my bigger Festaes. Only left with fry 3”-5” . My biggest male was 14”. Another male 12”. A female 9”

These were the biggest growouts I had from my original Rio Esmeraldas pair in page 1 of this thread.

Kept a Group of grow outs from November . A pair formed unexpectedly and for their first time spawning not a bad batch. Male is about 5”-6” Female about 5”

these pics here were taken last week when tank mates were still in the tank. I’ve since removed the rest of the tank mates during a water change into a separate tank.Great parents! Both male and female were amazing protecting the fry in the tank with 4 other festaes.

Here’s an update on the pair from January. Took out the other tank mates and gave them the 125 for themselves. Great parents! Had a scare with the female one time . Make bear her down before ripped off her tail during a previous spawn . It has then grown back and they are back to normal.

Would you say they are slow in growing? I got 6 two months ago, Were tiny less than an inch and have shown no growth since.

tank mates I moved in a 75 gallon. Ended up being 1 male and 3 females . He’s paired up with the bigger one . They are getting ready for a spawn
