Just curious what everyones thoughts were on which one would be victorious or more dominent. Female Festae or Female Haitiensis. same size?

Depends on the individual fish. Each fish has their own personality. Plus both the festae and haiti are really aggressive cichlids, so it would be hard to say which one is more dominant.

Never owned a Hatian-always die on me. But in my experience my Female Festaes were always more aggressive than the males I had.

I've had both at a mature size and age and would say that a female black nasty is on a different level. I was able to put a female festae in a community tank but not the black nasty.

Awesome nasty

Thanks, i was just wonderin what everyone thought. it does depend on individual fish. i think that would be a wicked combo. right now i have a 3.5" female nasty in with 4 festae at 3.5-4" which i think might be all male, i havent seen any signs yet that would indicate female. 1- male jag at 3.5"+, 1-male convict at 2.5-3". and the hait will run off all four festae at same time. they are in a 180 right now too. and that is also temporary till i sell my other female haits then i can move her.

I'd say the hait when they are under 10".But 10" or larger the festae.
